Bucks Star Receives SME Business Awards
From strength to strength is how Bucks Star’s Founder views the progress of the business despite still waiting for the brewery to be reinstated. It’s been a long journey, but significant progress continues to be made especially with the Growler Swap scheme which formalises the beer growler offering introduced back in 2015. As the brewery is not currently accessible, Growler Swap is being trialed at various farmers markets, including Winslow, Leighton Buzzard, Woburn and at selected outlets. It’s the first scheme of its kind which fosters customers into drinking fresh beer whilst ensuring zero-waste to landfill and recycling plants.
It was a fantastic achievement to see our No.1 Pale Ale win the award of the Commended Beer of Buckinghamshire last year at the Buckinghamshire Food and Drink Awards. This year was equally magical when we learned that Bucks Star Beer was finalist in three separate categories at the SME Bucks Awards, organised by local marketing company Events and PR. The awards ceremony supported by headline sponsors Stanair Industrial Services was held at the Hilton Double Tree hotel at the MK Dons Stadium. Bucks Star won the Regus Buckingham Business of the Year and jointly with marketing company Reg Giraffe won Runner Up in the Green Business award category sponsored by the Open University Business School. It’s fantastic to see that more businesses are now taking ecological sustainability a serious matter to address.
The organisers, sponsors and businesses involved contributed greatly to the success of both the awards and the evening.
